Draw Something Free is a two-player online game where you have to draw words so your opponent can guess them. Similar to Pictionary, it's an extremely simple concept that's really addictive.
How to play Draw Something
Once you've begun a game in Draw Something Free, you take your turn, drawing your choice of three words. Once your opponent has tried to guess, you'll get a notification and can watch a recording of your opponent guessing your word while watching it being drawn. You then get guess your opponent's word as you watch them draw.
You earn coins in Draw Something Free by guessing an opponent's drawing and also by them guessing your drawing correctly. You can use the game coins (which you can also purchase in-app) to get extra colors and drawing tools, which will help you improve your drawings.
Put your artistic skills to the test
Sketching your chosen word in Draw Something Free is done simply by running your finger across the screen of your Nokia Asha phone. Obviously the quality of what you draw is limited by the hardware and unless you have very dainty fingers it's hard to draw with great accuracy. However, it's not completely impossible and is eased by the fact you can change the weight of the pencil stroke.
Not always picture perfect
The S40 version of Draw Something Free is fun to play - but the waiting around isn't. The connection to the Zynga servers can be very slow and you might find yourself waiting around for several minutes just to submit your drawing. We experienced these problems testing over WiFi on a Nokia Asha 311, but user comments in the Nokia Store suggest many others have had similar problems. Hopefully this is something that can be resolved by Zynga because all the waiting is very annoying.
As long as you aren't blighted by connection problems, Draw Something Free is a highly enjoyable turn-based two-player game for S40.
